I just ordered sotf today, just a regular ecm flash tune for now. Hopefully have sotf by the weekend.

What tune setting do you run it in? I'm in the race tune even towing.

I am not 100% sure. They sent me just a single tune to test out. I was told it's tow, it seems too smokey and too fast to be a tow, it feels like my ghead race tune actually. Awesome power, tows like an animal, but the trans shifting isn't great in my opinion. If I could get ghead trans tuning and the tyrant engine tune, I would be a happy camper.

Just switched to tyrant tuning and i can relate to 08monster's temps now. Liking the tuning more than gh. Trans likes it better too from how it acts.

CACT temp shouldn't change with just tuning. Let me know how you like it.

I love the tuning... truck chits and gets in the race file. Gh is great but tyrant feels like he lets the truck "loose" so to speak. Biggest change was the trans shifting. Smooth, firm, and doesnt search when driving at 40-50 mph.
My temps did change.

When towing in my GH file vs my tyrant file, my oil will run 20 degrees cooler, coolant is 15 degrees cooler, egts are down 200. I don't know why, but my truck loves the tyrant tunes, but not the trans shifting though. I can't stand to run those ghead tunes anymore.

Tyrant holds 6th gear no problem, the GH files down shift on almost every hill and lose speed. The tyrant tunes have more power and run cooler. They must be making the truck run more efficiently than the ghead tunes can.

Yeah she runs pretty strong. Lol tows and runs damn good though. Hopefully my new tunes are the same. I'll know tomorrow!
