I don't see how the VSM could shut down the truck after it started

Not sure on the ford's. I know the chevy security systems could keep them from starting.

Sounds more like another issue. Ie, cps.

It could be the ICP
It could be the CPS
It could be the coil on the IPR

First does it start right back up.
Unplug the ICP and see if it stays running.
Second install new ICP. Get a good quality one from NAPA or Ford.
Third try a new IPR. The coil could be going bad. They will run until the coil starts to heat up and then they drop out.

It's none of those. Trust me. This truck has had harnesses swapped out on it and all those things have been tried with multiple different ones. Ever module has been tried. All except the security module. Truck has oil, fuel, and all the other poop. I've done all those things myself and now it's sitting at another smart 7.3 gurus shop and he's had no luck yet either.. This last time after we got it to run fine for about 8-10min and it shut off it a a code of some sort in the security module.
