shallow mount subwoofers

I like the reviews on the Alpine r series. They're shallow mount subs and their 1000 watt mono amp to 2 12's is what I'll go with. An all Alpine setup would soundawesome

Any body run after market subs in a sony sound system. Super Crew Sounds says they boxes don't work with the Sony system but im guessing this is because the factory POS sub needs to be removed?
