short box flatbed?

Any ideas on a short box flat bed?... im kinda an off roader at heart I've always liked the way off road style flat beds look. Been thinking about doing to my 97 ex cab short bbox but I have no ides what it would look like basically just a nice short bed that would look good. Any ides?

Well if you're building one I guess it just comes down to your imagination. If you want to buy one, I went with a bradford built and it is top notch! Interested to see what you come up with.

I have a friend who has a bradford on his sb mega cab looks great just don't know on the obs tho

I could never stand flatbeds on shortbeds-exception is a lifted, built swamp buggy type. I really want a flatbed to but they just don't look right on shortbed IMO.
These guys make a good product with 6.5' length

EDIT Ok MACs truck looks good but I don't think a bought one would be as good

Your right they don't that's why I want more of an off road type. I think it would look okay beings on on 35s and gonna do a d60 so I will be on 37s

I'm digging this thread. I want a flat bed on my f150 so I can get tons of tool box space without having a 4 ft bed.

A guy on pirate4x4 built it, it's a ford body on a dodge frame

Has a Cummins and a 5 speed.

Lowes sells flat beds ? I'm just lookin for something basic I can do underbid boxes and not reduce myself to a 4' bed. Aluminum would be nice but the 150 would ride a **** load better with a steel bed on her

I can get steel at a better price that that. I can get aluminum pretty cheap too but that's a special connection

Last time I priced one for an 8' bed it was ~$1700 with the folding rails like the Bradford (local quote, 18mo ago)

I'm on the road to okc right now, I'll grab the receipt from my bed when I get down there. It wasn't too terrible even with two boxes and install
