If I'm not mistaken I think they use a propietary alloy for their rods that is VERY strong and light. I think probably all of the options you listed would do well for anyone looking for upgraded rods.

FWIW though I would probably go with either RCD or Carrillo but that is just my preference.

Bingo, Strongest rods on the market, and also the lightest. Best of both worlds, we just released our 6.7 Rods this morning as well :evil

Hey Jared, not trying to really call bs or anything, but is there any data to sort of back up that claim?? Would be interested to see it. Still I have to say that the RCD rods look SWEET.

A throwdown as in put them on a scale and show what each weighs? That alone would be good IMO.

Maybe I could get my hands on a hypermax and carillo and we could have a throwdown

Yea just curious was all if anything was readily available. I haven't seen any data posted for any rod (not saying it isn't out there as it very well may be) so I wouldn't know how any are stronger than any other. It would be interesting if there was a throwdown but it's cool if not too.

Rcd Rods are top notch. They are made from a true billet... I'll throw them on the scale here in a bit

Me personally no..... But yes everything will be balanced. I have two local machine shops assembling it and modding the heads.

Im sure that could be easily arranged.

Question though. The others arent technically a true "billet steel" are they?

Here is the description from the Hypermax site:

Hypermax Ultimax Super Strength Forged High Alloy Connecting Rods
A set of 8 forged connecting rods with the center to center controlled within .002. Stronger than billet connecting rods and the powdered metal production rods currently being used. Lighter than stock rods up to 40 grams (When compared to factory powdered metal rods).
Refined grain 4340 aircraft quality forgings which are vacuum heat treated for optimum tensile and yield strength. Cryogenically treated to improve grain structure and shot peened for improved fatique life then magnafluxed for integrity.
ARP bolts.
Supports 2000 BHP on diesel fuel only.

Apparently they are Forged High Alloy Steel. Honestly, Idk what that means exactly  I'd like to see a showdown for what the strongest and lightest rods on the market are.
