I had some clearance issues at full lock when turning so I had Trevor build me a set of 2” blocks with a 2.5° taper to correct the pinion angle. After adding the 2” blocks I was able to raise the front an inch so good thing I have OUO adjustable coil levelers.

That thing looks like a HD excursion almost lol

Looks good dude!

Thanks. Once my Trail Ready rear bumper shows up I think I'm going to call it good and leave it alone except maybe a lp turbo swap since I might have someone local interested in my 8285 so I might pick up a gen 2 8685.

Loving the setup. 35s?

Pretty much. They are 325/60r20’s so they are little taller than a traditional 35” tire. With these tires and 12” wide wheels with a -51 offset it was all I could do to make them work on the front. It makes me wonder how people were/are running 37’s with 12” wides on a 4.5” lift.

I like the 8685 idea.

Seems like a pointless "upgrade" if you haven't tapped that 8285 to it's full potential.

Also 100% of everything that I have done as well as what was done prior to me owning the truck was/is a pointless upgrade. Good thing it’s my truck, money and time. I would never build a 1000hp capable truck to run at 1000hp 750hp is all I have ever had in mind.

All you'll be doing is worsening spool characteristics. I guess I don't see the point in paying for arguably worse performance.

Don't get me wrong, I ran a PTE 86/85 atmo with my 66/66mm vgt but only because I got the charger used at a song of a price. I contemplated time and time again about going down to an 82/85 because I was nowhere near the limit of the 86/85.

The 8685 came online very quickly if you'd like to see, but it's on a 6.7psd.

I would mostly be in it for the gen 2 wheel. The technology on my 8285 is almost if not 10 years old. If I could ever find a gtx center section for my hp turbo I plan on upgrading it as well.

Well hell, I didn't realize your 8285 was gen1. Gen 2 would indeed be a healthy upgrade.

Torque converter is taking a dump so I will be pulling it to send back to DPC. Should give me a chance to get some seat time in the new Lincoln.
