I’ve pulled lots with my 17’. Traction bars, 4 link and rear suspension stops are huge. I run mud grapps and they hook great. And don’t listen to other people. If the truck is set up good and u can lock torque converter in 2-3 then u will be fine. I lock out 4th so it doesn’t force shift. Start 2nd and switch 3rd. Usually start with 12lbs boost depending on how hard track is and get my wheel speed up. Just pulled at Hunting 4 horsepower and took second in ws.
