The GoGo solenoid will probably solve your problem. It helped plenty with the slip and slam shifting mine was doing. It also could be a possible TCM issue. Do you have a tuner installed?

No tunes on the truck. Mine actually did that slam into gear thing the other day as it shifted into 4th. Scared the piss out of me when it did it! The more I read up on the solenoid the more I think it could be my problem.

Interesting theory, but I'm not buying it. I don't know why OD would be weaker than the other gears.

They are in the Allison and the 68RFE so people start thinking that way. Doesn't mean they would be in a 5R110 though.

Order the GoGo solenoid a few days ago as well as both filters and some new fluid. All should be here by mid week.

If I just drain the pan, and replace both filters, about how much fluid will it take to fill it back up? I ordered 9 qts which should be plenty, but I've heard any thing from 6-10 qts. Round about how many should it take to top it off? Don't want to pour too many in from the start.

Well that was my problem. Solenoid fixed it. No more slipping what so ever. Shifts super hard into 4th now, which I assume is how it's supposed to be?

I never had a problem with OD. 3rd would be sluggish every so often but 4th was just plain sloppy on every shift. It's not sloppy any more! Like I said it shifts super hard into 4th now.

So it's been about a month and a half since I put in the GOGO solenoid. Other than the super hard shift into 5th, it had fixed my flair. Now I'm having the same problems I had before installing the new solenoid. Really low speeds/rpms, i get a bad 3-5 flair, and also does it when I'm in the throttle hard or with a load behind it. Normal acceleration it shifts fine (again, other than slamming into 5th). My initial thought is that my GoGo solenoid just went bad. Seems odd that it would after just one month of use. I contacted the company I bought it from almost 3 weeks ago, thinking they'd just send me a new one. Not getting much cooperation there. Still waiting on them to decide if they will replace it or not. Anyways aside from that headache, I need to get this fixed. I don't want to buy yet another GoGo from a different company. I don't think I should have to considering this one is only a mth old. If I drop another $150 on the same part the wife will string me up!!!! I'm trying to be patient with this company because I know they are busy as most of them are. But 3 weeks to decide yes or no on a new one??? That seems a bit rediculous. If you aren't going to replace it, just tell me so I can make other plans. I emailed them again last Wednesday, but havent gotten a response yet.

Sorry, just needed to rant. I tried ranting to the wife but she could care less! I'm not sure what to do now. I'd hate to just accept this as a $150 loss.
