In my opinion a leveled truck with 18x10s and 33s look perfect. I currently have 20x12s and 420s and I used to love it but I'm starting to get away from that look. If anything I'd like to do some 18x10 welds on ko2.

Looks like a professional business man could drive this truck. When I pull up people expect some kid with a flat bill hat and daddy's money step out

18's just look small...

These trucks have been coming from the factory with 34" tires since 2005... the factory Michelins that come on the newer trucks are taller in diameter than a 35" Toyo

33's look decent on 18's... 35's on 17's and 18's look like 80's balloon tires

and to the OP, I don't really see that many 24's rolling around. I'd say 22 is the most popular "non factory" size of aftermarket wheel.

I like the look of 22's, but I like the cost (and fit and quality) of OEM 20's

33s are too small leveled. That's why I've been uncertain on doing 20x12s. That and I only want forces if I do, and I'm not rich.

Then 20x12s would be my choice. Unless you run a tire with a real aggressive side wall which is why I went with 17s on my obs with mud grapps. It takes away some of that huge sidewall

How…the price difference isn't much, but tire price shoots up. 22s and 35s looks good.

Because it looks too close to factory.

20's are factory size. Huge visual difference going to 22's. I agree that the tire price is a painful jump.

But if I'm going 20's, I'll just save a bunch of money and rock factory junk.

How…the price difference isn't much, but tire price shoots up. 22s and 35s looks good.

Also, the spoke dimensions don't change according to wheel diameter with forces... spokes look pudgy and disproportionate on 20's.

Ive ran 16s, 17s, 18s, and 20s with tires from 35-40". Looking at the trucks less sidewall always looks best. I lived through the 90s and most guys building trucks werent seeking that 39" tire with a 16 or 16.5" wheel. When weld started making 18s there is a reason they sold heavy because guys could run bigger rubber with less sidewall. Its a misconception that people were seeking the balloon look. Im sure somebody did but you'll always have people cluelessly doing shti in any movement.

I run 35s and 20x12s on my old superduty. I did them to make it look better, bottom line. It wasnt the correct move. A 22/35 would have been better. Im not sure where everybody is getting their opinions but a 35" tire over a 20 has pleeeeenty of sidewall. Christ the 08-10s had 20" wheels with tires in the 33-34" range.

Some of the new 6.7s need a 22 sitting in the damn lot.

One thing I learned by ditching small wheels and big tires the handling is good again. I didnt really get the look i wanted but hey the wishy washy crap is gone.

I love my polished factory 20s and the 295/65s. The guys who know what they are looking at say the late model 20s on an early SD are the first thing they notice..

You said it yourself... they're opinions. People like what they like. Some like more sidewall, some don't. I personally don't really like the look of 22's with 35's.

No, you misread that wordplay...the 35/20 actually has plenty of sidewall. Its a common argument that a 20 doesnt leave enough sidewall and there is actually a lot. Hence the reference to 6.4s having less stock. Functionally a 35/20 isnt rubber bandy. It wasn't opinion. I think you got my point though.

My mistake. I understand what you mean now. I would agree with the 35/20 not being rubber bandy. I personally think if you bump up to 22s though, the smallest I like to see is a 37/38. At 35/22, I just don't think theres enough sidewall at all.
