Last time I checked, its not common to see a 7.3 running 10s on fuel.... I don't care if David or Dennis does it first, I just want to see them both finally running 10s on fuel only..

There are no 10 second fuel only trucks on the Top 50 list that are 7.3's, just 6.4's and lowly 6.0's.

That's next year.

This year, started watching the in cab videos and some rather simple changes SHOULD get us in the 10's quicker than later.

Plus I am almost 100% sure I can hit my previous MPH on nitrous runs with fuel only and the current GTX4202R that is currently on her.

Yep....

I should have clarified my retort to JD. FUEL ONLY.

Either way.... Dennis and David are making me proud to be a 7.3 owner.:rockon:

Ya it would be cool if they got into the tens with a fuel 7.3. If they dropped weight it could easily be done oh that already happened never mind.

IF I wanted to build a race truck that would have been done years ago, but I like to drive my princess around and have cold AC in these hot Houston summer months.

Not to mention that doing it in a real street truck and original Super Duty adds a bit of a sense of accomplishment.

Since when does being tubbed mean something isn't a real street vehicle? :poke:

You drive through Houston traffic on slicks too? Lol so many excuses in here, let me see if I got them all: Zane did it with a lighter truck it doesn't count, Zane did it with twin turbos it doesn't count, Zane did it with nitrous it doesn't count, Zane did it with triples it doesn't count, Zane did it in an OBS it doesn't count, Zane did it in a rail it doesn't count, Brian Jelich runs a 10.55 at 129 but it should be faster than it is so it doesn't count, Dennis is running twins and water so it doesn't count. Anybody that uses more fuel than me doesn't count. If you don't have A/C in a 4 linked tubed race truck it doesn't count... I'm sure there is more but that should cover most of it. David feel free to add on to the list as you see fit lol

I've seen plenty of cars and trucks that were tubbed on drag radials and lightened being driven on the street...... So, WOP has done 10's on fuel in their Lightning, correct? The same truck that probably had every available fiberglass body panel on it, correct? That's a bad ass truck, we all know it and agree. We all know what it did and it "counts" if you want to put it that way....

Snow White should hit 10's soon as a full size truck.. Without having every fiberglass body panel available, still has A/C, etc.. That's cool also..

I'm sure Dennis' truck and Snow White are both quite a bit heavier than the Lightning was, so it will take more for them to go 10's than it did for the Lightning.

Big deal, David or Dennis won't be the first to make it happen. I'm just glad there are people still out there trying to further our platform. Everything isn't about WOP... What they did was cool no doubt, but I will still be happy to see these other guys hit 10's on fuel too.

How much did the Lightning weigh and how fast did it go on fuel?

"Street" vehicle is a relative definition. I drove a '55 Chevy with 11.5:1 flat tappet small block and no A/C for several years in the AZ summers. 4-65 air sucks when it's 115°F outside...but it was worth it.
