yea...just tried to match up the threads...not happening..looks like im buying new u-bolts :doh: whats the torque on them? 120ft lbs?

Can't thread em. The shank is slightly narrower then the threaded part. I tried. For the price of new ones its not worth the hassle either.

Cutting threads usually isn't a good idea if you help it. Most bolts, at least the good ones, are rolled threads. Cut threads have stress risers all over them. A better solution, if possible, would be to re-install the block on top of the spring as a spacer. Of course, the best option is new u bolts.

I put the 2 in blocks in place of the 4 in stock ones. I'd like to go lower(no rear block) cause its got a slight rake still, but I might have to get u bolts again, and I don't know if the drive shaft will be too long.

Apparently the auto parts dont sell these...they're 3.5" wide aren't they? For those of you who have done this, what length should they be if I do this? In theory I would think 2" shorter since the block is like 1.91?
