I have looked at Swamps. Didn't know they had that good of a warranty. I only know 1 person with a modded diesel but his is a 6.0. I will have to seriously consider them. What is a realistic power number for a stock 7.3 with stage 1 swamps? They say 350 but we all know advertised doesn't mean much.

350ish.

Or you could get bigger nozzles and make the same power, with lower EGT's and less smoke.

I have Baby Swamps, I ran them for years without an intercooler(but had to keep eye on EGT's). I still have mech. fuel and original HPOP. I can set the CEL if I work it hard towing. Best dyno #'s were 326hp and 660 tq. My stock 180K tranny lasted about 10,000 miles before the 2-3 clutches failed. I went with a BTS and was the best money I ever spent on the truck.

Babies when tuned correctly won't have EGT issues, its only 10 more CC's than a stock 99-03 truck excluding E99. Also smoke becomes a non issue dependant on tuning also.

Many people don't want or need bigger nozzles or injectors. For a everyday working truck there is no need for a injector over 175CC. After that you start getting into reliability issues. People might argue with me over that statement saying they DD 300CC injectors, and thats okay, I DD 300CC injectors but its not always fun. Any truck that gets worked needs no more than 175CC's. People will argue the reliability statement also but it's true. If you get into a larger injector with a bigger nozzle your going to break sometime. Yes you can break a truck with stock injectors, but to me the chances are not worth it on anything over a 175 when you want dead nuts reliability. 99.9% of my work is with farmers and contractors, these guys are the epitomy of horrible maintnence and hard use. I need there trucks to be reliable 360 days a year.

Wow. 326hp to the wheels is really good! Looks like I need to save my pennies and just get some lol. I tow my racecar to the track in 100+ degrees every other weekend 90mi each way, not super worried about having to watch egt's or some smoke, that doesn't bug me. I need it to be pretty darn reliable and I am not looking to make 400+hp either, just a little more playing/towing power.

If you have a good HPOP and fuel system. I'd bet that 350-375 isn't out of the question.

Idk about my HPOP but I just did my fuel pump and lines so at least that should be working well. I don't plan on getting greedy, safe and reliable power.

All depends on how you drive.

If its in good shape and you upgrade the converter if it has a stocker and get a tuned VB etc it should last but no one knows how long.

Save for a better trans if your planning on keeping the truck.

Second the std stage 1's..best inj for a street truck where the owner doesn't have to have bragging rights.
