standard cab duramax/or like

its a long shot but....my nephew is looking for a standard cab with a blown motor. he got a 24 valve given to him and wants to bolt it up to allison. Ive tried to tell him to do otherwise with no evail so......opcorn:

He needs to find a new truck for that transmission.

The Cummins, paired with an Allison on a Ford chassis is THE BEST truck.

But I still love my PS, and would put an Allison behind it if I could.

Clearly an opinion but I don't think a 24 valve is an upgrade over a Duramax. Plus I wouldn't want to add more weight to the front end. Sounds like quite the project though.

There are many trucks that I think are DOWN RIGHT STUPID. But its obvious that the owner put time and effort into and made it unique and his own, and that I do respect.
