So if these were 3/8" and you went to 185 ft lbs, you way over tightened them and stretched them. Most after market u-bolts in the 5/8" - 3/4" range torque to 110- 150 ft lbs.
If they kept loosening up you have installation issues. You just proved the manufacturer's case.
How did you torque them and to what torque did you take them to?

185 ft-lb/tq for the hanger to shackle, shackle to spring front hanger and u bolts that's the spec ford provided me.
I think it was a stretch issue 1.7-2.1 inches in length and lost .0075-.0035 in diameter on a 3/8 u bolt they supplied the u bolts I may send them to a local place to have a hardness test performed for sh*ts n giggles because I doubt they are of grade 8 or similar strength. I used lake Erie bolts for the hanger and shackle hardware and have not had one issue yet I did the same for the front when I did those zero issues.
Do you mean 5/8" instead of 3/8" ???? Actually SDtrucksprings.com sells you M16 u-bolts.... but that is basically 5/8"....
The tool is only as smart as the user. No matter how much is costs.
