Swap

So Ive been throwing around the idea of swaping a whole 08 drivetrain into my wifes 03 7.3 Ex. But I got to thinking last night about swapping it into my old 89 f350 and making it a workstock puller and maybe 2.6 in the future. Im going to be pulling the cab off of the 89 anyways to put a rust free cab and bed on it. The other reason I want the puller is the fact there are like no fords pulling around me and I want to show up with an old ford and take the trophy home. But now the old 7.3 in the Ex just seems slow now that Ive got my 08 6.4. It also needs some work done that would be replaced with the swap. I have found a wrecked 08 with low miles for "cheap". So whats the input?
