Takes forever to get heat? normal

About 2-4 degrees above coolant temp, mine stays pretty much at 194 most of the time. You'll probably find most of the rubber on your tstats are deteriorated, so basically the coolant never gets a chance to warm up because the water pump can just constantly pump in through the motor past the tstats.

crazy I wonder y my EOT is so low then? I understand the ECT now Ill fix that tomorrow. Or is the EOT directly related to the ECT?

Sorry guys truck still setting in the garage hasnt even moved yet. Im hoping to get time tomorrow morning, Ill post ASAP!!

I did drive it on Monday it was in the mid 40's EOT topped out at 87.00 after about 2 hours on the highway ECT got into the 170's

Yeah, I bet it's your thermostats.

Also, I wonder if your oil cooler's clogged... Once your ECT's got up, your EOT's should have followed.

This is after 45 min on the highway today.

I bought both new thermostats today only $25 but wow what a job to change em, this is going to take a little bit!!

I was having the same issue haha, so I thought. I was actually thinking that it was possibly reading it in celcious on way home from work last night & to work today....
