taking mirrors off

hello i have the small mirrors on my truck......and i just bought some of bronco mirrors to put on, and loosend up the star screws on it and its caught on something do i take the side panels on the door inside the cab off?? thanks in advance

The door panel does need to come off and there is only 1 bolt that has to be taken out under the wing window area, you will see it. After that unplug the wiring if it is electric and it should come right out.

I started it, its going to be a two person job. i need to have my brother or dad hold the door handle up so i can slide it out. Theres a star screw i see that adds extra support for the mirror, and it has his factory tape on it.
