Bigger tips don't look bad if done proportionally. When I first bought my '02, I ran a 5" slash cut on the factory exhaust...lifted it, and it looked goofy, so I bought a 4" mbrp, with a 6" 18" long rolled edge..the way mbrp tucks up high, it looked perfect, and clean. Of course, I only ran 35's on a 6", and when I lowered it down to a 4" rear block and leveling kit on 33's, it was spot on.
Now, my '00 rclb has a 4" exhaust with a 6" tip, and because the truck is so "small", being a rclb 2wd, on factory size tires, the 6" looks massive, hence why I joke about it being a 8" one. I want to do a 4" mbrp setup, with muffler, and have it exit at a 90° angle like factory, with a 5" slash cut...keep proportions right. If I ever dropped the ass end an inch or so, and ran a 10" wide 20" wheel, i think it would still look "right", without looking douchebaggish.
