That right there^ sums up why I thought a 7" would be the ticket. Plus my wheels are 20x12. I will buy an 18"tip not sure if im gonna go 6 or 7" outlet though.

Somewhere down in Texas..
Bigger tips don't look bad if done proportionally. When I first bought my '02, I ran a 5" slash cut on the factory exhaust...lifted it, and it looked goofy, so I bought a 4" mbrp, with a 6" 18" long rolled edge..the way mbrp tucks up high, it looked perfect, and clean. Of course, I only ran 35's on a 6", and when I lowered it down to a 4" rear block and leveling kit on 33's, it was spot on.

Now, my '00 rclb has a 4" exhaust with a 6" tip, and because the truck is so "small", being a rclb 2wd, on factory size tires, the 6" looks massive, hence why I joke about it being a 8" one. I want to do a 4" mbrp setup, with muffler, and have it exit at a 90° angle like factory, with a 5" slash cut...keep proportions right. If I ever dropped the ass end an inch or so, and ran a 10" wide 20" wheel, i think it would still look "right", without looking douchebaggish.

Yea, i think with 33s a 5 or 6 would be.good. But with wide.a$$ tires a 7" may look good especially on mbrp 5" pipe. It angles out towards the rear bumper and downward. Im guessing you will only see 10-12" of the tip. Plus I painted the exhaust black so you.cant really see it as my frame and whole undercarriage are black too. I just think some chrome or polished would POP against all the black.

Size is that tip? I like the tip size.comared to the wheel and tire but.why is.the.exhaust hanging so low? I like mine tucked up tightly in the frame and the tailsection to angle down just enough to.clear the body.

think its 7 inch by 18 long. the exhaust hangs a lil lower because it wouldnt clear my b&w hitch so i dropped it down with the bracket b&w provided.

Here's the same exhaust with a 6" slash cut, I think it sticks out to far but haven't messed with it since it was put on. Every once and a while I think about changing it up but it's tight under there with a 35" spare

I dont think it looks bad. Its a utility thing. I expect to.see.that in montana, wyoming, and Greeley, Co. You know cattle ranch areas?! Nice truck btw.

Dmstruck-i hate that color combo but your wheel choice slapped me up side the head as if to say "this is how a blk/grey truck should look". Please.take no offense. Although id pull the stickers off the boxside and probably get black/smoked tails, that truck is tits! Is it a lariat?

I saw a wedgewood blue/tan excursion that was a 7.3 in crystal lake,il yesterday with a 07 front end. The whole bumper was tan and the grille was blue with harley lights and a 6" tip on 5" straightpipe. It was awesome! Sounded great. We need to find one of those!!

No offense taken. I actually bought the truck unsure on the color combo and it took a few weeks of looking at it everyday for it to really grow o me. Yes it's a lariat, the leather and front buckets sold me

I really want to throw on a reg return while I have the OBS block sitting on a stand but it's not in cards at the moment. I guess I'll do it the hard way later on
