Yep they Got into my truck today at the gym. It was partially my fault considering I parked in the back where there's no windows , but I was still on the main road.

Only thing they Got was my damn broken costas. I loved them things. They had to be in and out in 15 seconds. And they had to use a slim Jim because there was zero damage. Id say this is that this was one of the most painless break-ins I've had.

I'm happy they didn't steal the trucks, or the tag heuer in the back seat. And thank god I was smart enough to take out the $400 in cash I had in there before.

Now on to the main event:

I'm going to get an alarm tomorrow and would like to keep it in the $400 to $600 range. I want a 2way remote, and remote start on top of that.

What do you guys recommend I get?

I was thinking a Clifford but I think thats out of my price range.

I would appreciate Any input as I know nothing about these things.

I just don't see an alarm being that great of an investment man. How many times do you hear an alarm and only think, "dumbass accidentally set their alarm off" or "somethin loud mustve driven by?" I just make sure nothing is visible. If anything id just put a blinking light or 2 on the dash to make them think there's one. Use the $400 to buy new glasses.

Use the $400 towards a nice huge front bumper so when they try to steal it they end up stuck underneath it, so you come out and smash their faces with you barbells.

if you're worried about it getting stolen, put in a Ravelco. If someone wants in your truck..they'll get in. can't do anything about that BUT you can prevent them taking it.

If you're worried about next time being the time they take the truck, I'd get a Ravelco. If you're worried about next time being the time they take something else out of the cab, don't leave anything in there.

On my last truck (f150 on 22s with a HUGE system) I walked out to someone who had the crowbar in trying to pop my door open. So I know why you're paranoid now. But that alarm isn't going to make you any more comfortable at this point. Those things can be disabled. Just ask my brother in law that had his truck broken into, the exact same stereo I had stolen from his truck, somehow his pager alarm never went of or paged him all in broad daylight in the home depot parking lot in a very nice part of town.

I have a bad habit of leaving my gun under my seat when I got to the GYM I really need to get a gym bag and just put it in the locker. I also need to get an alarm/ remote start. What is a good alarm and remote start. I havent won the lotto yet so something reasonable.

I'm worried about them taking it because I still cannot afford full coverage. I have pip. That's it.

I'm actually thinking about just biting the bullet and running full coverage. But then there is very little room for mods...

Just go with lighter tint and but in a stock headunit and don't leave anything where they can see it, that way maybe they will look in the windows and keep on there merry way.

You can't keep them from getting in... But an alarm helps... I would get a 2-way with a perimeter alarm. That is what I will be getting for my truck here shortly...
