What could you possibly do to your raptor that would make it anywhere near competitive against your ‘17?

power to weight. tune and turbos will make 525 at 5600 lbs .. vs 725 or so at 8000lbs .. and a 10 speed trans.

That'd be a 111mph trap for the Raptor compared to a 110mph trap for the F250. I'd still put my money on the F250; I bet it would still launch a lot better.

I understand the guys thinking the diesel will pull away. If you take a 16 truck with the ecoboost and a 17 tuned or stock the 17 walks just because the 10spd trans. And its pretty dramatic the edge having close gear ratios gives.

My vote is on big blue. That 10 speed trans does not do that much. I get the logic behind your theory, but in my real world experience, it was not as such. For sh!ts and giggles my dad and I were horsing around, we raced my wife's 2016 expedition (3.5L ecoboost 2wd), against my mom's F150 (3.5L eco 10speed 2wd). They were dead even until we let out at 60. I actually had the edge because i jumped, but that 10 speed 150 wasn't catching me.

Mine wasnt theory. I saw it done. Two trailers identical. Two trucks. A 16 and a 17. Same truck but a model year apart. The 10spd walked away from it.
