heres an idea, Craigs manifolds custom uppipes for a MTW stage 4 and a set of 225 hybrids???

I will talk to craig about the .83 housing for my 66

Im going to be honest here Shawn, 225 hybrids are probably going to be a waste of money, and at this point you're going to be in the hole quite a bit of money just in hybrid bodies/plungers, then youre going to want larger nozzles to utilize the capacity. The cost? let me know ill make your jaw drop LOL

If you want to stay single turbo, there are quite a few options out there, but I think for what you're looking for, I'd stick with non vgt chargers. I also dont think that stepping down the 91 housing for the 83 is going to make much of a difference at this point.

Not always, tuning plays a huge role in this situation. You can have as much fuel as you want, but if its spraying outside the bowl you're not burning the fuel well enough and efficiently to create enough back pressure. More RPM also greatly increases spool up, the faster the motor is spinning the more heat its going to generate... this is bringing you back to, tuning and raising shift points. The RPM the torque converter stalls at is also especially important... Ill say it again, its not all about throwing huge sticks and nozzles into a motor to spool a larger charger.

I agree with everything that you said. Not here to argue Greg.

Eager to see where this goes.

Are the exhaust back pressures out of control with the MTW .?

I haven't herd the data on them just seem to be make good power for whats there.

Exactly, I want proof that there isn't an issue - we know it can be in check with a compound setup and large injector.

I've been talking with wildrunner408 - Nate about these turbos he seems to have a good handle on whats going on with these chargers and has explained alot about what they are doing to control back pressure, he should have some results regarding back pressure in the future.

As for swapping out the 91 housing for the .83 do you think it will help the lag problem or do you think its has more to do with turbine wheels

would 225 hybrids make less power then 225 conventionals?

A conventional injector is going to make more power as long as the oil side is keeping up.

What kind of lag issues are you having? My truck is very responsive, whos tuning are you using Erics still?

you can do it either way....change the wheel or the housing. Doing one or the other will accomplish the same.
