Taking a studded and deleted 6.0 with mild FICM tuning otherwise stock truck for example.

Would it be possible to build a tune capable of SAFELY daily driving and towing 13-14k at 400-420rwhp?

yes. with guages(obviously) you dont want a very aggressive fuel curve down low.

bring the fuel in easy, and with common sense its awesome.

also get rid of the ficm flash. they only add heat.

Mine REDUCED heat considerably in the High RPM range

They only add heat when used in conjunction with race tunes with overagressive fuel curves

Mine also pulled a little heat out, and I am running it with an aggressive tune. For the original question, intake/exhaust and stuff too right

Yeah I figured gauges intake and exhaust were a given

Just checking, put all that stuff on there and leave the stock exhaust and the temps will climb quick

Actually in my experience (4 separate trucks)

Going to a 4 inch exhaust from a factory 3.5 with a muffler/cat delete only yield a 25 degree average EGT drop.

I run a 4" down into a 5" strait pipe with a side exit, and hammering on it from a dead stop to 100mph it will only climb to 1250* I never had it tuned (or a way to monitor egt) prior to that, so I am assuming that is better than my stock stuff
