Start off with a #1 steel wool, then a 00, then a 0000 and then a mothers powerball.

There not perfect, but I am only polishing them to look good until I decide if I like the tires. If I do the next set I will get the wheels powder coated black.

Loaded up and dropped off at Les Schwabs. Go back in 30 minutes or so to throw them on.

They looked good, no casting issues, no tread issues. See how they run.

Those are my wheels... Yours have not yet had a wheel on them. I think I "Fixed" this one so if it holds true then I will polish yours and hold on to them for future use/spare/Excursion use.

Yours also have 3/8" more offset which conerns me running 37's on a 4" lift...

LOL... Coming from someone who says it cant be done... 3/8 of an inch can hurt at the end of a big fulcrum...

Went down there.

They dont have a strap to compress them, and they say the tires are too cold.

Told them to keep them over night and try in the morning.

This Les Schwabs sucks, I think the only thing they work on is BMW and Toyotas...

Lovely... LS "cant" get them to air up (take a bead)...

Joe, not sure if you have seen it before but they make a grease for helping set beads. It comes in a 1-5 gallon bucket & you just slop it on & it will press out as the tire airs up & takes a bead. Wipe it off & throw it back into the bucket till next time you need it. My buddy got a bucket after we went to a tire shop & he re beaded a set of those hummer tires after they went flat & un beaded themselves.

There using it... Just cold tires I believe.

either a cheetah or ether to mount them. Leaving them in the sun helps a lot.

They were using one of those as well. I have good luck with Les Schwabs, but I think this one is just not used to bigger tires or something. Worst case, I will let them get the wheels on them, and valve stems, and I will take them back to the job and do the ether...

Thick soap works too.

Ether and a match if your not a pussy lol

Ya, I doubt that would happen at the tire shop.

Got to say I am pretty impressed with the quality of the tire, they dont look to be junk, hell the curb rubbers are still on the sidewalls!

The tires are too cold then. If the Cheetah doesn't work they need to sit in the sun.

Subscribed for results pics. I read the whole thread thinking Les Schwab would get it figured out... Guess we'll see soon enough!

On another note, can you give a comparison weight-wise to the Toyos? They seem like they'd be pretty heavy to meet H1 specifications.

They got them mounted this morning, guess it just took a guy that wanted to do it.

There load range D rated, about 60# each or so... There lighter then the Toyo's I believe.

As to first impressions... There not Toyo's. Got a hop that I am hoping is just from there being parked or something. Going to give them a few days and then rotate them.

Could also be one of the wheels, it had some damage around the lug area that I repaired.

They sure seem small, but there a bit taller then the wore out Toyo's.
