well sounds like most are saying not to tow then with hotter tunes. that's why I asked. my PIP street tune is fine just was wondering whether I should spend the time downloading a hotter file

Yes you are correct
I tow in my race tune from GH. I watch EGT, coolant, and engine oil. Will be adding a rear axle temp gauge.
Truck has 76k miles, tuned at 40k. Egts are very manageable for me. This is towing 14-15k.
I don't know about other race tunes though.

Well my decision is made ezlynk and lower tunes it is.
I agree the EGT's where not a problem even with the race file I never saw over 1200* on a 6% grade passing someone but it's the part I can't monitor that worries me towing with a race file.

Plus I over maintain. All Fluids are changed often.
