Taking a 1800 mile trip next week from missouri to Alabama and then to Tennessee and back to missouri. I will be pulling my 25ft enclosed with atvs and camping gear inside(apprx 6000lb). I have an innovative tow tune but currently run sct canned performance as a DD. can I run the canned or should I just reflash to the tow tune? Sorry for the long post thanks in advance. Chris

I've towed 12k+ with the "TOW" tune and I wasn't a big fan. I changed it over to innovatives xstreet tune and it towed great.

i tow 20 K in the STREET tune... The TOW tune pissed me off... Kept kicking down, never had enough boost to build speed on uphills... STREET worked great. less weight than that, I would say X STREET woul;d be fine. But Mine is a bit touchy, so I cant use it... Unless I am playing...

I never tow with anything smaller then a 210-215hp tune. Truck handles heavy loads with ease. Corb and I gross about the same and I have never had any issues. Completely stock save for the deletes.

I tow on the Tow Tune most of the time. This weekend I am going to switch to the Street because of the new intercooler from No Limit. Corb and I have the same trailer. The reason was the tow tune I didnt have to watch gauges. I have a lot of steep hills to climb around me.
I have towed 7000# on a tag with the X-Street. It was fine, just a touchy throttle. I would not even think twice about that weight on the Street Tune.

So I just reflashed to inovatives tow tune and now it won't boost past the 30 psi mark on the dash. I've had this happen before and I just returned it to stock and loaded it again but it's a bit annoying! Anyone else ever in counter this?

Something is up then. Loaded on the tow tune I could hit 40-41.
The street tune this weekend will hit 48 though, scared me a little. But she just grunted over the hills not even a down shift.

See.... STREET is SWEET! LOL So long as you are happy with the temps and EBP, should be just fine. I was in Spartan 275 EL, with 17 K behind me last week... 49 lbs boost, 54 EBP, 1200 EGTs.... 15% on ramp to I-10... 70 MPH in less than 1/2 mile, uphill from 10 MPH...

This weekend when I had the Livewire hooked up, usually use an Edge Insight for Gauges, I saw in the in the 470-500 KPA which is in the 68-72 PSI range.
Take off the 14 from idle and I am in the 54-58 range not to shabby.
