Tq slip

How much slip is ok on the tq I had my 350 with 355 towing a tractor today pulled of the line great got to 15 gave it a little more juice but didn’t fell like I was picking up speed so I started watching my tq. It was at 500 to 600 rpm unlocked then when it locked it went to -15

I watched a video today of a person who pulls for sport and he said he starts out about half power and moves up from there because our transmissions learn. If he just goes for it the system is lost. I'm old and slow but I found it interesting. The days are long gone of my Kawasaki triple 750 rocket (at the time it was very fast) (1972) Now, I feel it have trouble shifting on our steep grade heading home and I am just glad to get home. It just has a spot where it shifts hard on a 7% grade making a left turn on a corner. My F450 has 4:30 and can hit hard pulling 15K pounds at a slow speed.

Cool I got nervous ha I hate the high heats these put out it’s hard to get use to it
