Guys I have a question. Ive had the tranny in for about 500 miles now. Today I got on it a little and it seemed like it couldnt find 5th. It went from 3rd to 5th back to 3rd then slammed in 5th. Ok so the next time I got into it, it seemed ss if it blew through the 3-5 shift so I let off then it was stuck in 5th when I came to a stop. Is this my direct solenoid? Does it sound like my tranny is done?

After it shut off did it go back to normal? With a fresh build it might be learning shifts and it stuck it into limp. Try reloading your tune and do a re learn process for the shifts. Basically driving easy through all gears and progressively steppin down harder on the peddle.

Hey bud. No after it came to a stop it was stuck in 5th. I shut it off for s second and then fired up and took off. It started in 1st then about 30ft went to 5th. When I say 5th I'm referring to real 5th(forward + direct).

This is the same crap it was doing before the rebuild when my directs were shot.

Also its probably been through the gears 25 times wot since rebuilt.

Ya id say you have stuff stuck in the solenoid or you have a bad one. Pretty easy to replace.

Ok that's what im thinking is it's a bad one. Now do you guys think I've done damage to the direct clutches already? It blew through that shift that one time.

Possible but doubtful. When you pop the pan youll see the clutch material if its smoked

Yeah I think im fine. Im just over reacting. Im going to get a new direct solenoid and a new tcc solenoid so maybe it will solve that slow engagement of the TC.
