You've still got issues. When I had TC issues, I got that warm quickly. Since the new TC and clutches , I don't get that warm in those conditions pulling 10K on flat road. I had it out last weekend with the car trailer, and I saw 145-155F on the OBD sensor in the solenoid block after 60 miles of rolling hills and flat. Just have a 6.0 cooler.
Have you done all of the flow tests as Mark suggested? If I recall correctly, the TCC (converter control) valve is a priority valve and when operating correctly, is a fine balance between apply flow pressure and cooler flow.
Im not sure that your trans guy has got you on the right path yet.
