*update*
Something blew up on truck... Oil all over the bottom and yea my trucks done more details to come..

Anything happen leading up to it? Right before it happened

You would be surprised how sometime they just bend or completely throw a rod. Friends 6.4 just did it behind the bell housing explaining why he couldn't find the hole. Did this just rolling up to a stop sign iirc

Leaving a stop sign.

One does not just simply "bend or throw a rod" Damage was done before hand. Just gave up the ghost oddly.

Only symptom I remember having was a few months earlier (August or Sept) idling and all of a sudden had what sounded like a rod knock. Shut it off. Started back up, all was well until it shuddered, popped, and shut off Dec 23rd. But I do agree, it doesn't just randomly do it.

Also doesn't help, that it appeared to be a Jasper once torn apart.

Only thing that happened is a 4300 rpm peak during a launch

Nothing.

I just pulled up at walmart and there was oil all over the rear end, exhaust, undercarriage, and all over the bumper and everywhere... Looks like a mixture of oil and fuel...

Piston Buh Bye I betcha

Yea I think so guys.. If so.. I honestly think I'm either gonna have to part it out or sell the truck... I can't afford a 10k bill at this moment and honestly it's been 2 badass years with this truck. I think until funds come up it's gonna sit and rot:(

I have a 92 fox body that I have rotting away too.. Maybe I'm gonna get that started and use that car for a while.. But a question of the day is.. I have a s472 turbo in the truck.. Will that size turbo be able to work with a 5.0 mustang?

Medicine Hat... Again
Looking at a fair amount of fabbing, but I think with the right housing you "could" get it to work. You will have HUGE lag though.

Edit. By the time you get the goodies to make it work on your fox body. You could almost have your truck up and running.

Drop the car and build the truck! At least once the truck is "built" it can be driven everyday and can be fun on the weekends( or whenever a civic pulls upLOL)

It won't be a 10k bill unless you're doing one mean build. Pull that engine out and talk to Ford - can't you get a rebuild kit for the 6.4 through them? Screw the car and invest in some turbos, ceramic coat the pistons, proper up pipes, and do the heads, rails, valves and studs ... okay, maybe it'll be 10k. ;)

That is very true. Good thing about diesels is they can be a 1300hp truck and still by daily driven, as much as I love foxes I say just build the truck. But hold on to the fox if you can LOL

Yeah... no....... $11,500 to replace a 6.4 motor that threw a rod with a new ford reman at a shop on this site. It doesn't surprise me either. Chit aint cheap..

You can grab motors used for waaaaay cheaper. WAY cheaper. They're not easy to come by, but they exist. And why would you replace when you can rebuild? If it's just a piston, buy a rebuild kit, they're included I believe.

Well after looking.. Crying about that chit and finally seeing that there's oil caked all over the bottom end of the truck I looked under and couldn't find a hole... I don't know where all this oil is coming from so I looked and I think I simply just have a hole in the piston. Not a crack.. Blow by is normal.. Which is a pretty decent amount.. Rail pressure was good.. There wasn't a miss when babied it home.. I don't know with this truck.. I know diesels are the most badass things on the planet.. But sadly just the money isn't there. All and all is my best bet to buy this fox body and drive that until something happens.. Because I'm not driving in a ****ty ass honda LOL

Works got me caked up and I begged my sister to let me borrow her car. The badass thing is that it's a 2013 Mini Cooper S and that bitch hauls its little ass LOL

I'm gonna get others to look and see where exactly this oil is coming from
