What did they say was wrong to total the 150? What year was it?

It was an 01. I didn't see the actual list, but they listed almost $4,500 in damages. My brother wants to get a Super Duty anyway, so as pissed as he is about it he doesn't want to frig with it. He's just trying to get them to up the "value" on it. They literally went over it in extensive detail to find any/all defects to list in order to devalue it. I mean every slight scratch or paint defect listed.

You could always buy it back pretty cheap. I have the electrical stuff to fix it too and would sell it cheap..

I wanted to do that....he doesn't. I told him we could fix it, and since we have enough vehicles there would be no time rush. He just doesn't want to do it.

I do appreciate the offer tho. I may try to buy a PCM for my truck tho if I have to wait much longer for the Ford dealership to ship one. Was supposed to be done a week ago.

Man some of you guys have sucky insurance setups. When ever I had to deal with a claim my insurance took care of all of it from appraisal on out. I guess in VA they do not have much wiggle room as there are very specific guidelines to appraisal values so they can not low ball you some huge amount. When they totaled my mini van after a bone head teen tore the whole side open trying to jump lanes because he was impatient the amount they appraised it at was exactly what it would have cost me to buy one in that shape at a dealership plus the cost of tax and tags. It also looked like he did not have insurance so it was my insurance paying. Later they got it figured out and billed it thru to his so I even got my deductible back.

But I know it varies so much state by state and insurance company

Well, they installed the PCM today and the service manager couldn't specify, but he said there was something wrong with the wiring harness. I'm going to head down Monday mid-morning and talk to the guy. Supposedly one of their 2 diesel certified techs are working on it. This chit is really getting old.

Swamps HFHV IDM... Should have it in a few days.

Either way, got to wait for the dumbasses at the Stealership to write up an estimate, get it approved, then order it, then install it and find the next dead part.

Well it runs. The jackass called and said "it's good to go. One question tho, was the airbag light on before? "

-_-

"Uh....no."

Well turns out the airbag module and the 4x4 module is fried. You'd think the tards would have noticed that a week ago when they installed the computer and scanned it.

LOL, redneck special!

So they did end up replacing the fuse box right?

Nope. The final list was:

GEM(Or VSM....whatever.)
PCM (Went to VDH5 instead of VDH4)
Airbag Module
4x4 Module
IC (Still not convinced it was needed.)
IDM
ICP
TS Chip (Hydra now.)
Stereo.

Runs great. SOOOOOOo glad to have it back. I did notice some tunes are WAY more smokey now....not sure if that's just because of the Hydra, VDH5 PCM, or what. I don't think it has a boost leak because I can still hit upper 20's PSI on WOT. Haven't put the scanner on it yet, either tho. Still need to pull the plow out of the garage and make sure all the plow stuff works.
