truck stalled

was driving yesterday and the truck stalled i was doing about 15 mph and it just shut off. went to fire it back up and it wouldnt start. The longer i cranked the faster it tried to turn over. Then it finally turned over. THen when driving id feel a slight hesitation when hitting the throttle and then it would pickup.I know i need to replace the wire/pigtail on the valve cover gasket. One of the pins broke off in the female end. Anybody have any ideas on where to start.

I'd start with replacing the vcg pigtail. Depending on the pin that could be an injector.

Double check your IPR nut and plug.

yup the nut was off the ipr. sittin in the fuel bowl valley.

That's happened to me more than once.

One pitciular time I was at a stop light next to a 6.4, we both stomped it on green. Needless to say my truck shut off it the middle of the intersection.
