When my 7.3 goes back under the knife it's getting a 6 speed Allison out of a GM and going back to 4.10s. I'd consider 3.73 as well.
Truer words never spoken!!!Nothing warms the heart better than that GRRRRRRRRRR....... SHIFT... GRRRRRRR that a 4R100 provides. Torque reduction on shifts..... Z E R O......
No confusion, no gender dysphoria.....just SHIFT... SHIFT....SHIFT..... THE END!
They can keep the new shit. A good truck that's worn out is better than a new pos. Worn parts can be replaced.
Dafuq is wrong with you? LolWhen my 7.3 goes back under the knife it's getting a 6 speed Allison out of a GM and going back to 4.10s. I'd consider 3.73 as well.
But really. The 6r is pretty badass.Nothing warms the heart better than that GRRRRRRRRRR....... SHIFT... GRRRRRRR that a 4R100 provides. Torque reduction on shifts..... Z E R O......

Pretty much. Lower rpms on an 80 mph interstate is also part of the thought process.Dafuq is wrong with you? Lol
Just looking to have more gears in between 1st and od?
To much rpms for what I like.So what's the problem with a 4r and that scenario?
But that's where she shines with no heat issues.....To much rpms for what I like.
It's all in the turbo and tuning. Besides, I can drop to fifth and have the same rpms as 4th in the 4r100. Mines a manual now. So it a swap either way. Plus I have almost everything needed for the Allison swap. But that's where she shines with no heat issues.....
Yep I was actually looking for an old Gen 1 when I saw they had these new ones out.Have you looked at this system? I like the fact you can adjust a lot of parameters without having to hook a laptop up.
Quick 4 Stand-Alone Transmission Control
The Quick 4 controller makes your 4L60E, 4L80E, 4R70W, E4OD, or 4R100 transmission work in a wide variety of vehicles, including ones not originally equipped with electronic control. It also allows customization of the transmission's behavior with user-friendly software.www.usshift.com

I need to call them. I know with the Gen 1 I can also control my gear vender. Not sure if the Quick 4 will or if I need the quick 6.
Exactly, that is why I need to call them.I was under the impression the quick 6 only works on the 6r80?
Having the ability to control the gv with the same controller would be sweet!
Post up what you find out. I'd love to know.Exactly, that is why I need to call them.
I "assume" I need the quick 6 in order to have enough available outputs to run the GV, but there is no pre loaded, or pre programmed shift points for the E4OD on the Quick 6 platform that I can see, so probably have to start everything from scratch instead of modifying their baseline programs.
The shift scheduling on the 10R180 is why my 2020 F450 on Alcoas and Kelderman mechanical self leveling rear with Carli leveled front has been sitting in front of my barn for months now since I pulled a 22 yr old truck out of the woods that can do the elementary task of shifting.I dunno....my 10spd shifts pretty well, lmfao
Wow.The shift scheduling on the 10R180 is why my 2020 F450 on Alcoas and Kelderman mechanical self leveling rear with Carli leveled front has been sitting in front of my barn for months now since I pulled a 22 yr old truck out of the woods that can do the elementary task of shifting.
Hook up a trailer, set the cruise and hit a downhill..... get ready for some rpm..... followed by more rpm..... followed by some RPMMMMMMMMMM until it's on the high side of 3700rpm, no load on f'ing cruise control! Remember..... you have steel pistons....
God forbid you ever engage the exhaust brake or tow/haul! Get ready to blow past the rev limiter at 3100 and head right on past 3500 on your way toward 4k.
Want to go through a roundabout? Forget it.... your throttle is connected to the trans.... not the engine! After shifting from 2-4, back to 3 and back to 5 the throttle might turn back on but by then the person to your left has taken off and you stab the brakes..... F IT!
Such an engineering abortion....
Now I have to dump a truck I put time into because of it. That or gut it and put a 7.3 in it!!!
Don't think I didn't strongly consider it! EPA nutswingers would pass out
I can see the steam out of your ears explaining that! Lol.. love your rants! Great to have you back! 6.7 with a 4R behind it
Maybe in the special Olympics...Maybe in a race aplication.
