so i am having some difficulty, i have a 2015 truck deleted running the 64mm streetmax turbo. i am having a lot of issues with the current tunes i have, i contacted another tuner and they said they havent written tunes for the 64mm turbo yet so it would be a learning process. i know others on this forum are running this same set up, what tunes are you running. im just looking to enjoy my new setup without throwing codes all the time. my current tunes is rewriting a whole new set of files for me to try, but am looking to see what else might be available out of desperation

I'm assuming you bought the turbo from Morgan? Have you asked him about tuning, If he cant help I'm sure he can point you in the right direction.

Just want others to be clear, the StreetMax turbo doesn't not require custom tuning. In fact we have used them on a bone stock truck with full emissions equipment. Some tuners may be having issues with their tuning. But it has nothing to do with the turbo. We ran superchips tunes, stock files, custom files, x4 KEM preloaded files. They all performed fine with no issues.

On a older truck it will, but there is no reason on a 15 that it should have codes even with the factory tuning.

No, it works 100% fine even on a bone stock truck. I've got quite a few of them. All running different tuning.

I'm just making sure that potential customers realize this is a tuning issue that doesn't have anything to do with the turbo itself.

I have a lot of these turbos out there without a single issue.

Let's get you some tunes coming. You'll be much happier.

Correct I understand that and I'm not trying to argue I'm just trying to understand becase maybe I'm misinformed but wouldn't you want custom tuning for the specific setup.? I'm not saying I have any issues with the turbo I do belive there is an issue with my current tuning but I thought there was cusTom tuning being written for the 64mm vs the stock turbo. If not then why wouldn't I just run the stock turbo with the tuning your offering . Again I'm just trying to understand all of this as I am being told different things from several different sources

I'm going to tell you from the only source that actually has experience with them on multiple levels. The only difference is a StreetMax has the potential to make much more power than the stock turbo.

If you load your tune that your having problems with on a stock turbo or 64mm your going to have the same exact issues. They are controlled the exact same way. They react the exact same way. Th 64 just flows more air and makes more power.

I've sold about 20 StreetMax turbos in the last 4 months. None of them needed special tuning to work correctly. They are a drop in turbo.

With that being said, I've used a lot of different tunes and none had issues including the stock calibration. Which along with all the others leads me to tell you that since you and Steve are both at one point having issues and both using the same tune writer, gives me a basis to go off.

Again, you should be able to max the turbo out and not throw codes if the tunes are right regardless of the turbo. How much power it will make from then will be dictated by how efficient the turbo works with said tune.

With the standard race tunes that anyone sells it should effectively max the stock turbo commands out, which in turn should max the 64mm out as well. But your tune writer is having issues with that.

I have these turbos run by h&s stock files, h&s mcc by various tuners, sct with pip tunes, and sct with KEM tunes. Nobody has complained once about throwing codes.

That's what I am telling you it is in the tuning.

So please just get me the tunes that will get me the most out of my setup. And thank you for your honesty and integrity of clarifying all of this
