I don't think you need a stage 3 to break into the 600's. So far a powermax with a MTW replacement wheel and a MTW stage 1 has put down 550-580 rwhp with 175/75 injectors. It's really in the combination of parts and tunes as a whole on the power you want. One thing I have noticed between the NON VGT and VGT is that the VGT turbo work best with smaller nozzle sizes. I believe that no more than 75% nozzzles are needed for VGT, since they will spool due to the vanes so if nozzles are bigger then the 75% they will be laggy. I have some injectors coming in 225/75, and believe I will prove what I'm saying. One other plus is smoke will be very little, which is great for the street. I like Non VGT turbos also, but I will be proving somethings soon about how to hit the 600 range and with the smaller Hybrid turbo which is 1200.00. The new wheels are flow some huge air so the game is changing again. Just options on turbos non or VGT, the choice is the owners on what they want.

Nothing against vgt turbos, but non vgt can be street friendly very easily it seems also. Comes down to tuning and how you drive. With both non vgt and vgt you can still get under the turbo and billow the smoke. Both can easily clear up the smoke when they spool also though. Another thing is I've noticed and heard from people tuning is actually easier to get dialed in with non-vgt since you don't have to worry about the vane position in the tuning and what not.

Both are good choices. I just recently opened my eyes to the non vgt 6.0 world to be honest I never realized that they were so easy to do anything with. From installation to tuning etc.

Like I said you can't go wrong either way. I just like the cost - power potential ratio of non vgt LOL. There are some other pluses that come with it too, but the cost is a big one. I'm definitely down to wait and see what Adrian has up his sleeves for the hybrid #'s :).

Saying a vgt works better than a non vgt with a smaller nozzle is an unproven claim. Only thing i noticed was less smoke and a slight bump in torque. No loss in spool up or anything.

Yeh, you are right. I don't know enough about non VGT combos to have stated such. I was going by what I have noticed with the VGT, especially the bigger ones. Seems that when you roll into the throttle you get more power than slam it down when you are using big nozzle. The smaller nozzle react better to quick throttle movement, have you noticed the same with the NON VGT ? I'm also going to get rid of the 205/150 like you did, I did get them to clean up and they worked good, but I want to try the 225/75 to see if they will work better for what I want out of the truck. Working on fuel system first then injectors, and wiring harness for the transmission.
