Thats something else I wonder how the stage two would clean up say a stage 2 with 190/30's maybe I just don't want to get it then a month later be like oh I want the stage 3 and have to do injectors again scratching my head over here

I'll throw my 2 cents in... I don't think the stage 2 is a match compared to the RCD 68mm PowerMax. I believe the turbine wheels are the same except for the number of blades. The stage 2 compressor will measure 64.7mm x 88mm while the RCD 68mm PowerMax measures 68mm x 88mm. Personally I would think you should be comparing the stage 3 and RCD 68 mm PowerMax.

The Stage 2 is only going to be good for like 175/stock to 175/30s if you are after very low smoke and reasonable EGTs at WOT. With 175/75+ injectors you can expect to have EGTs above 1600F at WOT.

The way I see it is if you have your heart set on a single VGT turbo for all out performance, I would recommend either a Stage 3 or Stage 4 for anything above 175/75s. Hope this helps.

I don't really agree with this. I think the RCD 68 falls somewhere in between the MTW stage 2 and stage 3. To compare the RCD 68 to the Stage 3 is about as fair as comparing the stage 2 to the RCD 68.

I would agree with this^^^ The RCD 68mm should out perform the Stage 2 but I think it has a little to be desired to be comparable to the Stage 3. There's just quite a bit going on that isn't seen with the Stage 3. Even with a Stage 3 though, 190s-205s are about as big as you want to go with that charger IMO.

So the stage 2 couldn't maintain 175/75 that's what I was looking to run I just don't want to get crazy with my build I guess I should say I don't want to get a stage 3 and use 3/4 of it when I could get what I'm looking for with a stage 2 I don't tow with my truck and the smoke is ok I just don't want to look like im running a smoke switch and are the egt's that with stock intercooler I was also going to get the batmowheel with the stage 2

Ok, I get what you're saying. Yes for truely tapping out the performance potential of the Stage 2, 175/75s will do that. The smoke and heat will be just fine for 1/4mile racing and the streetability is GREAT with this turbo if you are looking for being able to drive around smoke free. All I was saying was if you use more than 2/3 throttle (which is actually quite a lot), plan on seeing some haze and if it is WOT, it will probably be pretty dark depending on the tune.
Also, DO NOT waste your money on the stupid batmowheel for the Stage 2. You will get all of the performance you need from the cast Garrett wheel. Hope this helps.
