So I've been thinking about this since I got my truck off of the Dyno a few Saturday's ago. Here goes: I have an S482 82/88 with a .90 housing. My question is how restrictive do you guys/gals think this housing is? I ask bc I don't know and my thought is if I can't get the air out of the engine my power is going to be way down and maybe I need to go a little bigger? I have a 1.25 housing. Just looking for a little direction from someone that has an idea what they're doing. Thanks

I don't think anyone would know for certain as that's a combination not to many people have tryed. My advise, if you have the 1.25 already just put it on and see. It's not that hard to switch housings. Then you'll know.
I'm guessing it will definatlly flow more but slower to lite.
If you want an accurate answer to your question. Put a exaust back presure guage in, done.

I've never heard of anyone having good success with the 1.25 a/r on a diesel application, the gas guys love it though. I think you'd be better off with a 1.10

What rpms are you looking for? A bigger a/r will like higher rpms.. itll take a bit to get lit and you def cant lug it down.. I would personally run the .90 on that big of a charger.. gives you a lil more leeway if the rpms drop some. .
