Turbo to match 238/80 injectors

I have a set of full force diesels 238/80 in the truck now. My question is, aside from the 38r, what turbo would you use with this injector setup? It's a daily driver, weekends play toy. I will be happy with anything around 500hp. I think I am going to weld up a set of t4 up pipes for the turbo. Current mods are, Warren diesel Trans, fuel system, t500, exhaust, intake, injectors list above, traction bars. What turbo would you recommend?

I'm kind of in the same boat. I was recently thinking maybe an H2E, but pretty sure its going to be a bit more expensive.
On a side note, how do you like your Warren transmission?

I've heard the h2e are a little costly compared to a say s366 that you can get for about 700. The Trans is awesome. I've pulled with it 5-8 times and just made 4, 4x4 passes with it yesterday at the drag strip. It never missed a beat! Granted i'm only at 400 HP, and it's rated at 800, but still.

Hell if you run an s366 you're gonna have to gate it so you might as well go modded h2e, hx50, gqssb, lasb, or the s468 as mentioned or even a 4094

S467 is probably ur best bet because mines not gated and it does just fine with my injectors. Plus u can just switch wheels and housing if u plan to get real serious

the s400 everyone mentioned is your best bet overall... it is great from 400hp to 700hp (on the bottle).

But if you want a turbo that will work great and be much more simple, a billet 38r is a hell of a turbo as well. The new billet wheel is a great option

Then again the fact and matter is.... your tuning will make you like or hate the setup.


You could install 400/400s on a stock 15* pump and a factory fuel system with a stock turbo....it would run like a dream with great tuning.

So all in all.... buy a quality turbo that you can grow into and get tuning for the thing. If you plan to stay in the 100% injector range, stick with a 38r, no point in all the extra effort for a T4 mount.

I would do a s400 of some sort in the 66 range.

I loved my h2 with 160/100. Then a modified h2 with 250/200..

Now with my b-codes with my GTX4294R is sweet.. spools super fast..

If I didn't have the money I would do the S400 ..if I had a few bucks I would do I GTX4294R.

given I bought my turbo when I didn't have at ton of money to play with, now I would do more research on air. I bought it thinking 71mm was more than enough and would be fine but is now my bottle neck in my setup. Modded H2E has yielded some great results but is pricey. An irate billet S468 has laid down enough to run 12s in jakes shop truck.

You can pick up a used h2e from a heavy truck wrecking yard for as low as 250$ not sure what the cost of a rebuild and mods would be though.

The 38r will be.evolving if the ww2 doesnt make it the perfect turbo for smaller hybrids with 200% nozzles. Its dubbed as limited but some people see a few areas where it could be improved for heavier fueling. Thats all I can say though.

You run our Brute 66 turbo and our tunes the turbo get a full 1 year warranty.

Turbo is a 38 machined to a 66mm billet wheel. Turbo is totally rebuilt and capable of supporting 550hp.
