I was just scared the extra air would break the intercooler. I will be getting a new cold side pipe soon. On my secound plastic one.

I just sent my pmax to Madpowerstroke to see what he can do to improve it. It will be the first time he gets to see one so I'm interested to see what he can do. I'll keep you posted with results.

Im running gearhead tunes. I have 190's with an elite SSX turbo. But even before i had the injectors and turbo I could still get to about 1500 degrees not towing and towing my 28 foot cattle trailer my egts would be at about 1000 at 70 mph.. I haven't towed with the 190s yet.

I wouldn't worry about that, I've pegged my 60# gauge many times and no issues.

Yea as far as blowing an end cap off the intercooler goes, that has nothing to do with extra air flow and is merely a pressure issue. As Matt has said already, I wouldnt worry about that with the stock intercooler. I also can't give you an opinion on the Stage 2 over the Stage 3 or vice versa. I would recommend the Stage 2 because it will be about half the price of the Stage 3 and as long as you use stock or 155 injectors you should be good man. Also I am not sure how well the Stage 3 would spool with small injectors. Not saying it would be a dog but that it is a possibility because of the larger turbine wheel.
At the end of the day, the higher elevation folks need more air and besides a larger turbo, a ported intake manifold gives that and should be used before a larger intercooler is used.

Yeah we have a good I/C already, intake is the main restriction like Nate is saying. I think a ported intake is about the same price as a I/C and also would be a better alternative than a larger intercooler. Jmo
