Turbonetics 11117-BB

So I found a good deal on one of these Turbonetics 11117-BB but can't fine much info about it. It looks like they were discontinued a few years ago, why? Is it a turbo that is worth having and how do they compare to the GTP38r? They also said something about a T3/T4 hybrid, T73-10784 and I can't find anything about that turbo. Thanks for any info.

I think its a 66/80 as the 38R is 66/88
- if the price was right, I'd run it.

So, why is it crap ? Compared too ?

It doesn't want to spool below 1500 rpms and then runs out about 2500. If no one has one there's a reason.

Is that a 1.0 ex housing ? Doesn't sound like the 66/80 is matched very well running out at 2500 ?
Midrange would have to be better than stock.

Well thanks for the info. I found a GTP38R for a better price than the Turbonetics so I just ordered the Garrett. I hope the Garrett with a 1.0a/r will spool ok with stock injectors. I will let you know how it does when I get it in the truck.

Should be fine on a tune. Ive got one comming next week as well.
I havent seen but one of the TNs being sold in recent memory, they started out fairly popular thrn petered out. I read guys still running them on other forums that are happy, but its hard to beat the tested 38R with current pricing.
