Banks kits fit really well.....just sayin.
Gale Banks spends millions of dollars on components to make sure they are a well fit. So does TN. That being said Banks components typically do not help on anything thing over a 100% stock truck, they just weren't designed to do so. The DMAX and Cummins parts Banks make, like the side intake for CR trucks and the intake runners for the 6.6 are very seldom used because they are designed to fit with stock turbo setups and stock I/C placement. The Irate kits form, fit, and finish is bar none better then anything out on the market right now other then a TN kit. BUT TN kit was also $2500 bucks when they came out and did a horrible job promoting it they were also only for the super duty. They were out 6 months before we found out about them and only because we had seen the display at the PRI show here in Florida. And we even get their newsletter!! No one bought them because of the huge price tag and they decided to quit making them. Also don't know if its just Florida but the Banks electrical units typically never last more then a year. We constantly get trucks in that have a crank no start and its because the unit has the little red light on. Banks also is so popular notbecause he has been around since the 70s but because what is the first thing you see when you open a camper magazine or Diesel Power? BANKS two page display lol. I talk to Jake quite a bit on the phone and he has LOTS of time in effort into these kits and making sure they fit. If you have advice or a suggestion why not tell him? We used the kit on our Pull truck and had zero problems other then the motor tweaking way up and grinding the I/C pipe with the power steering pulley lol. Just had a guy in Texas buy on and he loved the whole thing. Had nothing but good things to say about how it ran and how the kit fit. He also took the time to polish his pipes and they looked amazing!! We will always vote Irate on these kits!
