i currently run a 366: 66/71/.70 t3 open housing with stock up pipes and manifolds, as well as 205/100 injectors from warren diesel.

My original goal for this truck was 600, i am currently at a proven 575, with the full belief that with some live dyno tuning i should be in the 600s.

My thoughts at the moment are:

loose the single and go with a compound set up 64/s480

or

change the housing size and stick with the single and go to a .90t4 divided housing with some new up pipes.

Clearly the single will be easier, and i assume i should get to the 600 with the above tuning mentioned....

Thoughts?

Knowing your history this should be a good detailed adventure. I'm in for the ride, my vote is for a compound setup just because I know you'd like to stand out in the crowd.! Make it happen and provide lots of pics and vids.

that small housing doesnt help.... the lift and tire/whee combo isnt helping either LOL

How much do you want to spend and how laggy do you want it?

I think lance (blue waffle) is enjoying his 63/68 t4.83 s480 set up, so I vote the t4 64/80 ste up.

This is true... just can not figure out the direction i want to go.

be like all the cool kids and compound the thing...

This is the way im leaning, i have a buyer for my current turbo which is what kickstarted this who thing.

62/71/80/91 quads???? Should be enough

I was thinking 5...i can mount atleast 3 in the bed...

yea the housing i know is an issue at the moment, but i just feel that compounds would be fun, just do not know if i want to get this envolved and tear the truck down...yet again! And as i said from the very begginning, Never will i sacrifce my wheel/tire/lift combo for horsepower haha...just keep building it till it gets there.....My thought is 600 is starting to become popular...so 600 on 38s might be fun...and were ooohhhh sooo clooose!

The goal is to not be any more laggy than the 66, if i can improve the street manners a little that would be ideal. I was talking with JJ who suggested perhaps a 62....and craig was suggesting a 64 both over a 480.

yes i have been having some conversation with him as well...

lots of good guys around here with some solid proven setups!...

the more i wrap my head around this concept...the more im leaning towards this list of parts:

changing turbo to a t4 divided housing
divided up pipes
exhaust manifolds
ported intake manifold...

this should allow for the suspension work im lookin for.

After seeing some numbers, i feel the work is not worth the power gains, and posibility of the set up not working to its potential...and just seriously aggrevating me!

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe the .83 divided T4 is available for the 71mm wheel. That means you would need to go to the .91 T4 divided. I would think that would be pretty laggy wit you lift and tire size.

its available for the 68mm turbine, just get it machined out to fit the 71mm wheel.

I could be wrong, but won't having it machined to fit the larger wheel actually change the A/R ratio?

No it won't change the A/R ratio. It will only remove material from the inside of the housing and possibly weaken it. However, since you are only talking about 1.5mm on each side, I doubt that it would weaken it to any concerning point.
