unplugging connectors while running bad?

If the problem did not chase the stick, then yes, I would say harness is bad. Could be wires themselves, or main plug or injector plug. Swapping sticks rules out solenoid, stick, or the connector on the solenoid.

I am watching as I have the exact same issue except mine was/is passenger side.
it went away for a couple of months when I did a bunch of work so I must have moved the harness to a spot that didnt short for that time
at this point I am looking to just replace the entire injector harness with home brew. already swapped the valvecover over to SD stuff and it didnt solve it, so it has to be upstream from what I cut off already
swapped IDMs (ran perfect for 3 days), CPS, UVCH

If you're looking for a broken wire, you'll get no reading on the ohm meter if its a clean break. An intermittent short is tougher to find. I'm guessing you'll have very little to no resistance on good wires.

Someone will surely correct me if I've gotten this wrong. Tracking down electrical shorts requires patience, which I'm short of. Happy hunting !
