Does anyone sell just the snap on plug ?

The little plastic clip broke off so every once in a while it will wiggle out.

Other than the boneyard does anyone sell a new one ?

Alliant has pig tails. I would have to look in my book to see if motorcraft makes them also. I just recently replaced all my pig tails and vc gaskets. Just FYI, only use motorcraft for vc gaskets.

You need the special tool to take the terminals out of the plug. Like a tiny screw driver.

Well the pigtails I bought turned out to be good quality.

Good connection/ good quality wire.

I soldered them into place and use my new batch of glue filled shrink tube
(Love that stuff) then wrapped it with friction tape and stuffed it in the stock plastic tubing.

There was also a braided cable in there,
I can only imagine it it was from the factory to pull the wiring up through or something.

I just cooked a little bit and looked around and left it in there.

Truck runs tits.

A little off subject here but....

I’m getting a bit of smoke? / from The driver side valve cover vent

Is that normal or do I have another problem brewing?

Thanks.

Your wiring job looks good.

The braided wire in the harness is just a shielding wire from what I understand.

The “smoke” from the drivers side valve cover vent is just blowby vapor. I wouldn’t stress about it. My OBS has quite a bit of blowby, (275,000 miles, came from Tx, and had been run without an air filter for an unknown amount of time), but it starts and runs just fine.

Thanks Zeb.

I bought the truck now in 95
changed oil regularly took care of what needs to be done etc.

It shows 125,000 miles

But I think I can add about 10,000 to that

Because for some reason the fuse blew
That takes care of the interior light/speedometer/cruise control on this year...

And I kind of forgot about it for a while

Lmao...

It’s a damn good truck.
