Sooooooo Fuel psi @ WOT is dropping to like 38 psi.

Gonna switch the fuel lab to high speed and see if that fixes the problem.

I'm surprised you actually went WOT! LOL

Does that pump have a built in regulator?

lol

I've been told it has two speeds and it is currently wired to low. It doesnt have a regulator. I have an aeromotive at the motor set to 60 psi.

Don't run the Fuelab on high for prolonged periods of time. Ideally trigger it off of a pressure switch, but just for fun you can trigger it off of a toggle switch if you just want to put it into high for a few minutes at a time.

I agree, you have some kind of issue. That pump supported 1000hp dyno runs in my 7.3L at half speed and my fuel pressure gauge never budged. Believe Dennis runs his at half speed in his race truck with no pressure problems

gare if its the same pump most of us have used, that pump on low is fine. i ran my 205/100s with that pump on low never budged at 60psi. fuelab is pretty dang good about warranty as well if you go that route.

Aeromotive's warranty is only for a year...which sux ass because now that it's over 5 years old, I have no warrantee "IF" anything ever goes wrong with it...

See what I did there?

Hmm. Thinking the issue is probably @ the regulator. This particular regulator has a port for vac/boost but we were told it doesnt need to be hooked up. May try that first...

That shouldn't be hooked up - that just is a boost reference to increase fuel pressure proportional to boost pressure for gasoline vehicles that are injecting fuel into a pressurized intake. If the regulator is set at 60 psi and the pump can't make it to there at WOT then tightening down on the boost reference won't help since there is nothing leaving the return line of the regulator at that point. You could have a leaky regulator that is constantly bleeding off flow to the return line though instead of holding pressure.... it would be slightly ripped or have a hole in it....

I would also check the voltage to the pump if possible when its dropping pressure. How is it wired in? Fuelab is awesome with warranty too like chris said, they would have no problem covering it I would think. Jason is also spot on with maybe the pressure is bleeding off constantly and enough to not show, except when the volume demand is there.
