My buddy has a crew cab dmax with an 05 front axle on it and it weighs the same as my regular cab(6900) I beat him last night and he has efi live and I have injectors and studs.

My other buddy has a regular cab dmax with efi live and when I was on stock injectors and no studs I could keep up. So really I don't see how your buddy beat you with superchips. Maybe you need a bigger non studded tune. Maybe gearheads SRL, that's the tune I had when I kept up with my buddies regular cab with efi live.

I made 366 with Eric's race tune and I'm studded and deleted. A buddy of mine with a 08 dmax with efi live put down 425 on the same dyno. We are both on 35s with the biggest tune we had. If you wanna make this transformation over night it's gonna take some serious pockets. I'd say start with supporting mods and then see how far you wanna go. A stage 2 Vgt turbo and some 175s would get you there

Guy I know has a 2wd ccsb, it weighs just as much as my rclb 2wd truck. Well, he weighs 6400, mine is 6300. Regardless, he has efi live tuning, exhaust, intake, and a modified danville stock turbo, and runs 12.40s. Just food for thought. It's not that they are more superior or anything, but being almost 2k lbs lighter than a equal ford ccsb puts them at a HUGE advantage.
