When you put the airdog on, did you bypass/****** the factory low pressure fuel pump or do you still have the airdog feeding the factory pump?So some of you know I bought Morgan@Midwest's 6.7 regular cab last year. I think the truck was for sale for about 30 seconds when I decided I had to buy it. Sold my 6.0 that Wednesday and drove down to Athens IL that Friday to pick it up.
I loved the idea that the truck was "done". The plan was to just enjoy a well built, heavily modified truck instead of always tinkering like I did with my 6.0.
For anyone that wasn't following the previous build:
Balanced rotating assembly
R&R rods
De-lipped and coated pistons
Ported heads
HD springs
HD retainers
HD pushrods
Ported intake
Extreme studs
Midwest dual fueler kit
Stroker cp4
Fleece cp3k
Exergy 100% injectors
Barder 6670R
Tial Wastegate
Midwest intercooler piping
No-limit intercooler
No-limit intake
2 stage NX progressive kit
Midwest 6R140 and PI modded converter
OUO traction bars
And probably stuff I don't even know about..
As you can imagine the truck runs quite well and likes nitrous.. It's made well north of 1k on both stages and makes 750 on fuel only. Stupid fun to drive and just a beautiful truck
I daily drove the truck up until it was time to put it away for winter, didn't do anything to it besides add an airdog 165 4g to it..
Awesome pump, the 4g is quieter than the oem pump and has held up to the biggest fuel only tunes.
After sitting all winter I decided nitrous is cool and it'll stay on the truck but there's a lot of street action around here and I'd hate for some kid in daddy's BMW to try me on the highway and I don't have the bottle on!
Well Morgan's new sales guy (Jared) talked me into one of these guys..
Precision Gen 2 8891
I drove the truck down a couple of weeks ago and after not even 6 months after leaving the shop it's back at Midwest Diesel & Auto gaining a turbo!
Airdog fed the factory pump, works okay but doesn't increase overall volume much, if any.

Buddy has a 15 with a brand new fuel system, air dog 165 with a sump, and on his 230 tune he's getting a fuel pressure code P0087. Trying to figure what to do. I'm thinking the best bet is pull the factory pump and turn up the air dog to 55-65 psi

I think it didn't throw the code when he turned it down to the 200 tune but it still might have thrown the codeTry turning the tune down and see if it still does it. Could be too big of a tune for the 15 pump... Not likely anything to do with the LPFP.

No wonder you didn't reply when I asked if you'd trade for a lawn mower...

Does the lawn mower have a precision turbo and is it a crewcab? :hammer:
