Been searching for a diesel for about 3 years but I am extremely picky.
Started my search for a cclb green/tan 7.3 park at with under 150k and stock. After about a year I realized that wasn't feasible so deleted the color option. Still no luck.
I then decided that some mild, recently performed mods wouldn't be too bad. Couldn't find a 7.3 that was clean enough to suit me.
I then spoke with a master diesel mechanic friend of mine and he convinced me that the 6.0 isn't bad as long as you do it right.
So after about a year and a half later I finally found one to suit me, and it happened to be a truck that was known by one of my buddies (someone he drag races motorcycles with had it).
Here's the list of modifications the truck has
Drivetrain:
Garrett PowerMAX Turbo
ARP Headstuds
OEM Ford heads machine surfaced
Warren Diesel 190cc Injectors
Air Dog External Fuel Pump (Donaldson Filters)
Sinister EGR Delete
AFE Intake
MBRP 5" Exhaust
Vibrant Couplers
Sun Coast Convertor
Sun Coast Iron Pac-3
6.4 Banjo Bolt
SCT Tuner (custom tunes from Gearhead & Innovative)
Edge CTS Monitor
Exterior: 9/10
Fuel Hostage 20x12
Mickey Thompson Baja AZT 35x13.50x20
4.5" Rough Country Suspension Lift Kit
OEM Harley Davidson Headlights
08+ Tail Lights
Paint Matched Chrome Bumpers, Grill, and bed rails
20% Tint
Bed Liner
OEM Ford Black Rear Bumper Trim
Interior:
Pioneer Double Din DVD Player
Kicker Components
Heated King Ranch Captain Chairs
Rear Sliding Window
Tow/Aux Controls
OEM Floor Mats
I plan on continuing the build and looking for 650 HP. I am also considering taking the lift off and sitting It on 6 spoke Ford 20s or the 6.7 Harley rims with an all terrain but still undecided.
Yes it is a pavement princess and gets treated like one. I am very picky about what I own and meticulously maintain my vehicles. It has been a lifelong dream to own a built diesel truck and I am finally financially stable enough to.
I look forward to interacting with you guys and seeing what all the site has to offer.
