I've got a jgs 50mm wastegate that I'm not sure on how to set-up I've never messed with one before so I'm kinda lost with what to do. The problem I have is how do I keep it from opening? I'm running a s475 with a .90 exhaust housing can make about 60psi b4 the wastegate I would like to keep the same boost level if possible. Right now the wastegate opens just reving the truck up.

Why are you running a gate? Spray?

Yes I'm goin to spray two stages. And yes I have mpds headers and up- pipes but also have a set from high speed performance to try out

When you say you make 60 before the gate, do you mean that is your drive pressure?
What is your boost pressure?
If they are close to the same pressures, you don't need a gate. (unless the drive goes crazy high.)
To keep it shut, increase the pressure to the top of the gate, and have no pressure connected to the bottom port. (The gate will do nothing at all but stay shut.)

What I meant was I could make 60 psi of boost on mpds up-pipe with no wastegate and now I have a set of up-pipes with a wastegate set up. The only reason I have a gate now is bc of spraying it now. Dose it matter if I run the pressure line from the hot side or cold side ?

If you run it off the hot side, you will need to run a filter to keep the crap outta the line and gauge.

On a single turbo, it shouldn't be too hard to set up since there is no pressure on the backside of the gate like on a twin setup.

No, it's all a pressurized system. Reading is the same. Extended power was referring to you tapping a reference off the exhaust side of your truck. IMO, a 50mm gate seems big for a single 6.0...

Ok thanks I'll just tap in to the cold side then. Even with two stages a 50 mm seems big ? I don't. Know a lot about gate so I'm trying to learn as I go
