There's no need, it's a return fuel system.

well I finally had the time to drop the tank and clean it out, put new fuel in it and now it idles like crap. I havent driven it since the light came on, any ideas?

You more than likely have air in the lines.. Hopefully water didn't get through to your injectors.. I would take it out and drive it hard to see if it goes away..

ill do that, hopefully its nothing serious. whats the worst case senario here?

Worst case possible,,, your injectors are fried and you replace all 8 then they mess up so you buy 8 more and a new fuel system
