What are you guys seeing for boost PSI?

From a dead stop and flooring it 23 and once it hits 3rd it will start hitting 30-35

On fwy cruising 70 then wot it will spike 35 and float around 32

That's with any of my tunes

Does it hold 29-30 @ WOT? What do normally see it hold at if that is the highest you've seen?

Ya sorry it holds at that but idk that I have seen it spike as much as everyone else. Maybe 32 spike.

I talked with Gearhead today and he seems to think he can make the boost hit 30 and hold. Eric at Innovative also shot me an e-mail to say dialing in 30psi shouldn't be a problem. I 'd like to see if I emailed them my stock tune, if they confirm that it is indeed the VXCF4H2. I never heard back from TSD and Vivian is outta town. I'm really considering either trying one of Matt's tunes or Eric's Extreme X.

I understand that more boost doesn't always equal more power, but I'd like to know if 4+psi made any difference for me. I know the turbo is capable of producing it as several 03-04 trucks have made these numbers without issue. It just seems like the 05-07 trucks don't want to hold the boost. I wonder if running a 10 blade turbine wheel would help to run up boost and hold it......

05 stock turbo and injectors. Reg return. PHP ficm tunes and extreme x and CAI and 4" exhaust

Hey Matt, i have the vxcf4 flash too. What i have seen with matt's srl extreme xx is that 1,2,&3 hits hard at 25 psi, and as soon as it shifts 4th and locks the converter i see 30 psi, and doesn't budge through 5th until i lift. Worth a shot to try it. It is my new favorite tune besides spd. While im thinking about it you will have a package inbound the beginning of next week. Ill text you the details.

Ive never really given it much thought but when my truck was stock, only mod was straight piped. I could spike around 33 to 34 and hold high 20s. After all the work it will barely spike at 30 and hold about 25 or so. Thats on a mechanical guage. I just thought it was due to it breathing better but then again Im fairly new to playing with these things. Reading this thread has me wondering.

Thanks Adam! I'm kinda up in the air about the tune right now. Since I didn't realize SCT had changed my Strat code, I kinda feel like I should at least give Vivian and Chris a chance to send me a tune actually built for the correct strat before I jump ship and go to another tuner. I love the SPD and Looney Wild tunes, I just wish they would hold the boost up top. The extra psi might not amount to anything HP wise, but I'd like to know for sure. Eric wrote both my tow tunes and I love them too. His tranny tuning while towing is spot on. I'll update when I decide what to do.

I really think I'm gonna talk to Chris and Vivian before I make a decision. TSD and QT are both great businesses that have treated me to some of the best customer service anyone could ask for. I know that Chris and Vivian can make this truck hold the boost like I want. Just gotta get them all the info.
